Palm Gets A Big Thumbs Down
Articles

The state of Palm seems to be the subject of more and more speculation. "But what could be worth an investor's second glance is a note out this morning from Pablo Perez-Fernandez, the wireless analyst at Global Crown Capital. Not only is he downgrading shares this morning to a "Sell," he suggests that Palm's single biggest investor, the venture capital firm Elevation Partners, may be looking to unload its stake in Palm. If that were to happen, it could be the beginning of the end of this company..."

... Global Crown suggests this holiday season will mark the beginning of the end for Palm. With a stock around $2, down from over $8 in October, it would seem investors are not so reluctantly agreeing." More at CNBC.

Big Money! is now small money!

Astraware is currently selling Big Money! for only $4.95. This, in my humble opinion, is not far off Bejeweled 2 for addictiveness and is a great bargain at this price.

Big Money is the crazy game of coin collecting fun from the same stable as the award winning Bejeweled, PopCap Games! Race to get the money bags by finding groups of similar coins on the screen. But, don't take too long about it - the piles are growing and if you let any coins get to the top it's all over!

Fun game play to drive you crazy
Slick Animation
Runs on Color and Greyscale machines
Bombs to test your strategy
Three difficulty settings
Configurable Sound Effects
Individual high score table for each difficulty
High Score export to Internet High Score Table
Pause and resume your game later
Palette adjustment on greyscale machines
Built in function to beam a demo to your friends
Clock and Battery Meter

Big Money! is not the only game on offer from Astraware. Check out this page for many more games at low prices. Of particular merit are Crazy Daisy, Darts Deluxe II and Tantric.

Propel for Palm OS version 2.3 has been released

Propel for Palm OS version 2.3 has been released with the following changes-

Corrected category icons not shifting properly when category order is changed
Added support for showing custom application icons also for applications on SD card
Implemented support for variable width scrollbar to accomodate new skins' features
Improved backward compatibility to better support old plugins
Updated various plug-ins to be compatible with this new version

As a replacement for the native Palm OS launcher, Propel makes using your mobile companion a truly enjoyable experience. Not only is it fast, but it also provides many opportunities to personalize your Views and functionality through extensive support of User Interface Skins, custom backgrounds, and button assignments. Plus Voice Launching capability is available in the Professional Edition. Once you start using Propel, you'll wonder how you ever did without it.

Find Everything Easily

With Propel, you don't need to do endless scrolling to locate and open applications, take multiple steps to search for contacts, or fumble to find your newest memo. With just one tap or the input of one keyword, Propel filters out/narrows down the possibilities for you. You see what you need right away.

Propel can launch anything from applications, meetings, contacts, memos, MP3s, bookmarks and even files stored on your memory card.

If AutoLaunch is activated, Propel will even launch your application automatically once it has narrowed the search to one item.

Two Editions for the Taking

We understand that not everyone might need Voice Launching capabilities, MP3 playback support, or plug-in support, which is why Propel is available in two editions: Standard and Professional.
