Today has been a ‘heavy’ news day and the next few days look like they are shaping up to be just as busy. We can expect a special announcement from HTC tomorrow or Wednesday and no doubt the stream of devices we saw released today will gather pace as the week progresses.

I mentioned it in another post, but I just have to say it again – I about as giddy as a kid in a candy shop! Just look at all the choices, this could keep me busy for weeks on end trying to decide my next purchase. I really like the Nokia E55, with it’s fairly decent screen, flat, S60, a great battery life and all for a fair price!

Yes, in spite of the crisis the mobile market is growing incredibly fast! The question is: do we have the money to keep up with it? And is this the best of times to release so many devices?… I’m sure some of them will not rise to the expectations and fall short from selling well.
I just read that in Portugal 2,4 millions laptops were sold in 2008 and 1,8 million desktops. That’s a big big amount fro such a “small” country. Yet, I watch the news everyday and people are getting fired by the minute… I just have a hard time to relate all these happenings…
