ringoWye Valley, UK, March 11, 2009 – Electric Pocket’s Ringo Pro, the top-selling ringtone manager for smartphones, is now available for smartphones based on Google’s Android operating system, such as the T-Mobile G1. The new Android version of Ringo Pro enables users to set their own MP3 tunes as ringtones for both calls and SMS messages as well as offering a number of phone personalization options.

Ringo Pro offers Android users an attractive and simple-to-use interface for easy access to ringtone and SMS tones, as well as a fast and easy way to set ringtones and SMS tones for individual contacts.

Setting different tones for friends and business contacts helps users manage their communication load, as they can easily identify who is calling or sending a message. Ringo Pro on Android also helps users to quickly identify message senders by letting users assign each contact a unique vibrate pattern or colored flashing indicator light.

Ringo simplifies setting personal tones by letting users pick contacts from the Address Book then choose a unique phone and SMS message tones. Tones can be chosen from the user’s MP3 music collection, and previewed before they are assigned, so the user can readily choose appropriate tones for their family, friends or business associates.

“Changing ringtones is a very popular way for users to personalize their smartphones,” says Iain Barclay, Electric Pocket’s Chief Product Officer. “Ringo Pro makes changing ringtones easy and fun, as well as making useful features like personal caller tones much more accessible.”

Ringo Pro is available for users to download direct from their handsets through the Android Market for £2.69 (approximately US$3.99). A slimmed down version, Ringo Lite, is also available for users who wish to try Ringo before purchasing. More information on Ringo can be found at Electric Pocket’s web site, http://ringomo.com.
