iPhone Diary

I am loving most things about the iPhone and even data entry has speeded up for me, but one part is bugging me above all others- the battery.

I have tried everything; turning off 3G, lowering the brightness, turning off location services, stopping push updates and various other tricks to no vail. Even with half of the iPhone features turned off I can still not get through whole day without charging and this is becoming highly annoying.

How are you managing with your iPhone and is the battery a problem for you? If it’s not a problem, what are you doing, or not doing, that I need to? Do iPhone users actually make phone calls???

I can get my battery to last 2 days on average use, but I do carry a spare 1900Mah battery with me just in case. It also uses the same USB cable as the iphone so is easy to charge. Also very cheap

I wish I could help here, Shaun, but I don’t have a problem with my iPhone’s battery. I charge my iPhone every night, but that’s it, and can get through the day without a problem. I have 3G, wifi and location services turned on all the time and email pushed to me via MobileMe; brightness is set to about 1/3.

However, I have noticed that there are certain apps – WunderRadio for one – that really put a strain on the battery. Perhaps that’s the problem.

I don’t make huge numbers of calls during the day – about 30 mins in total.

This new charging case from Morphie looks like it will be great for heavy users:
