More pdas than smart phones for now I’m afraid:
Treo 600
Nokia E60
HTC Touch (Elfin)

After the Treo I went back to the pda/dumb phone combo for a while. The E60 is officially a smart phone, but the screen is very small though great resolution. I hated the Touch to begin with, then it grew on me, but last week I started having resets/time outs again during calls, and I can’t be bothered hard resetting the whole thing again.

I’m still deciding between getting the E71 or the Xperia. The X1 was winning, but after my Touch once again crapping out on me, and my E60 has always been extremely stable I’m leaning towards a reliable Symbian s60 device again. I’m changing in August.

Lol, I have short nails as I touch type at work. My fingers are fairly small too. I honestly don’t know why I struggle so much with it.

re Centro keyboard – without intending to be sexist, is it a nails thing? (I don’t know, you might not have long nails!)I’ve cerstainly seen reports of people saying they find the iPhone keyboard hard because they have long nails…

My nails are short and my hands relatively small, so I don’t find the Centro keyboard that bad – not as good as the 650/680, but defintitely usable especially with KeyCaps installed

Seven smartphones in all: a Handspring Treo, a couple of Palm Treos, a BlackBerry, and three iPhones – 2G, 3G and 3GS.

My problem with the Centro is not it’s performance but the keyboard whcih I just find near impossible to use. I’m not sure why this should be but I just constantly hit the wrong key.

Treo 650, Treo 680, HTC S710, Centro and now iPhone 3G

650 lasted 6 months before I managed to destroy the screen (my fault)
680 lasted about a year before sold so I could justify the S710
S710 lasted 6 months before I yearned for Palm’s OS again
Centro I still have as a backup in case the iPhone goes toes up

I still reckon the Centro is a decent machine. Much maligned, but if you accpet it’s limitations, it’s a delight to use.

Phones? Just two and I’ve still got them both. With GPS nav apps finally appearing on the app store, though, I’m not sure how much longer that will be true for.

Smartphones or PDAs? Just smartphones I reckon about 20 over the years. The longest lasting was my Treo 650, the shortest probably my first attempt with the Centro.

So 25 that I can remember! I had multiple Smartphones, like 2 7710s and 2 P800s etc.

The Nokia 9300 only lasted a week – keyboard was just too small for me
