News round-up: 10th July 2009
webOS v1.1 is on the way and promises a better managed Exchange policy integration plus some new apps. There doesn’t seem to be much more than that included, but there may well be at lauch to justify the .1 upgrade number.
A survey by ChangeWave is suggesting that demand for the iPhone is on the up. 44% of those surveyed are looking to buy an iPhone with 23% looking for a BlackBerry and 8% hunting for a Palm Pre.
Spaz (could find a better name surely?) has been updated for the Palm Pre to allow Twitter photo posting. Acxcording to jk it works quite well.
Reviews of the Nokia N97 are continuing to point out similar issues to the ones we found this week. MobileCrunch is the latest to have a bash at it and proclaims it to be so close, but so very, very far.
BerryReview thinks that Bell will attempt to release the BlackBerry Tour on July 13th or 14th, just before Telus. The Tour looks like a cracking smartphone to me.
Orange UK has managed to nab the Toshiba TG01 and this is a surprise because O2 Germany managed to gain exclusivity as well. Definately one to watch.

Re: “Spaz”
Just a guess:
Whoever chose the name probably had the “twittering” bird “Spatz”, (german for “Sparrow”) in mind.
