Pimlical has been officially released and can act as a standalon Windows application or a replacement for the Palm desktop. It looks quite good either way and is worth checking out if you are a fan of Pimlico.
“As a brand new application, Pimlical is making its debut as either a standalone application for Windows or as a replacement for the V-6.2 Palm Desktop’s calendar, tasks and memo applications (with full contacts support coming shortly as well).
ALL Palm users can benefit from the fact that Pimlical will display information from the standard Palm Handheld applications that are not displayed in the V-6.2 desktop, such as location information, appointments spanning midnight, alarms and repeats on Tasks, and many other similar items.
And DateBk users will find that Pimlical provides very similar features and in particular will read and write all of DateBk’s special features, such as colors, fonts, icons, floating events, as well as provide a DateBk-style integrated view of appointments and tasks.
During the course of 2009/2010, Pimlico Software plans to roll out versions for other desktop and handheld platforms with a virtually identical feature set. There are no specific timetables available at this time. You may want to come back to this page on a regular basis to see what new versions have been released, or are available as a preview release.”
