QOTD: Headphones?

Do you use the original headphones / headset that came with your device? I ask because I am in the process of reviewing a high-end pair of headphones and the difference is incredible.

Up to this point I have stuck with the headset that came with my iPhone, but on other devices I have used better quality solutions.

Rarely. At work I have a pair of Sennheiser noise canceling over ear headphones which I love. I did buy a pair of Sennheiser iPhone in ear headphones with a mic (similar to the ones you reviewed). The sound quality is amazing but I don’t find them very comfortable and I can’t use them in the car as they cut out too much outside noise. Bit of a waste for me! So I use the bog standard headset to recieve calls in the car only.

I do have a few hifi quality (in-ear and over ear) headphones but when on the move I find the SE in-ear headphones to be very good. In fact, SE’s standard headphones with their Walkman phones are very good. The other source of quality variation is the A2DP unit – here I have found the Nokia ones to be the best.
