I, personally, would never buy a smartphone on a TelCo&#039;s contract because I never make enough telephone calls to justify the overhead.
And I certainly seem to read a lot of complaints about US Carrier, Sprint, on the net.

I do and expect to do so in the future, use a smartphone as a PDA first and a phone second, and maybe I am not too alone in this area.

Here in Australia, apparently Telstra has the exclusive rights to the Pre, and it too is expected to be lumbered with a hefty margin to cover call and data costs. Which is why I decided to get a Centro for the time being.
