Can you hear the alert on your phone even when you are in noisy environments i.e. have you become tuned in to the noise your phone makes when a new email or communication arrives? I can hear my BlackBerry even when in very loud places and am fairly sure that I am tuned into the noise no matter where I am.

Not so much. I pretty much depend on the device’s virbration.
No, my other half is forever complaining that I don’t hear it!
Yes, but then having the itchy and scratchy theme tune as my ringtone, and roadrunner’s “meep meep” for alerts/sms, does help…
No. In fact, I am constantly the victim of “phantom vibrate”. I think it’s vibrating when it ain’t.
The iPhone’s not great ring volume wise. However, I’ve always had all my phones on vibrate by default.
Don’t miss many calls, but would prefer a louder ring
