Bloomberg is reporting on the continued escalating sales figures for the iPhone which have risen to 7.4 million in the last quarter. The only dark spot was a reduction in iPod sales, but even that can be put against rising sales of the iPhone which does directly compete against the iPod range.
There are now two ways this could go which will probably result in the same continued rise or static sales performance. Firstly, the iPhone will soon be available on many more carriers throughout Europe and this will increase sales. Secondly, Android will continue to develop and be offered in many more variations by multiple manufacturers. I personally think Apple needs to offer more than one iPhone model within the next 6 months to continue this rate of expansion. Thanks to Trevor for the link.
