QOTD: Mobile social networks?

qotd27Do you use social networking on your smartphone more than the mobile internet? A recent study suggests that 4 out of 10 mobile destinations are social networks, but I am probably on 7 out of 10 at least.

Probably about 50-50 for me. I use the web for a lot of reference during the day.

10% Twitter 90 % internet . Only used Twitter as Hero came with it.

    “Me, anti-social” – that’s two, then ;)
I just have e-mail and go to a couple of forums.

I access Facebook, email and post here. I also read the news and use it for a few reference things when something interests me.

I had a nice long play with a friends iPhone 3G S over the weekend. I was impressed! Facebook is so much easier, as were most things. He just opened up his free Facebook app, everything was there looking good and way ya go. I have to start my browser, find the Facebook bookmark, login, and there it finally is. It just did things so nicely. I have to admit the calendar wasn’t my cup of tea either, to many button presses to enter something – surprising since everything else seemed so simple and straight forward. A lovely GUI. Now I’d like to play with Android a bit!

Lots of Twitter, not much “browsing”. Facebook – have an account but rarely use it. vboelema makes a good point – I’d consider PDA247 as more social networking than browsing….

This is what I love about the blackberry. When I was on Windows Mobile, if I tried to keep a connection with some kind of social networking all day long, my battery would not just make it. With the blackberry, I stay hot on yahoo, aol, twitter, facebook all day long and still get my email. The battery is still over 50 percent by the end of the day. I am connected in and love it. I am trying to build connections now more with others than at any other time. I love PDA 247 and the crowd of regulars. I just wish I could get to know some of you more. Any suggestions are welcome. I haven’t tried the Blackberry messenger yet because I do not know anyone who uses it.
