It’s time for PDA-247 to change again. I understand that the name has changed a few times over the years (Clie World, Clie Planet, Palm247, PDANews24…), but the term ‘PDA’ is simply not descriptive anymore and does not fit in with the modern world of smartphones.
I am looking for a new name for the site, but cannot come up with anything no matter how hard I try so I figured that one of you guys could help me out. All you have to do is reply to this thread with your idea for a name and the winner will take home a smartphone up to the value of £400 from www.clove.co.uk.
It’s that simple. The competition will run until 30th November and the winner will be announced on 1st December 2009.

PDA stands for personal digital assistant. How about another acronym – CORE?
C for communication; O for organization; R for recording; E for entertainment. That’s what these devices do. If you want, you could add a D for digital and have DECOR or a D for device and have CORED. You could keep the 247 for continuity.

Seeing as most devices are hand held and are based around the fingers and touch, I have come up with the following:
