When was the last time you lost lots of information that you could not retrieve? I remember losing a lot on an old Psion many years ago, but the desktop syncing options and things like MS Exchange mean that it has all been safe for quite some time now.

A combination of Microsoft MyPhone, Exchange, and PIM Backup ensures that my contacts, messages, notes, tasks, and calendar are always safe. A periodic backup of my SD card ensures that loss of other data is at a minimum.
Last I lost data was in 2004 when I moved from a faulty PC to a new one and I lost a few years of Outlook data. MS file system is cr**p – very difficult to find user data sometimes.
For Smartphones, I have too many copies on various devices to lose data
As I am back with Windows on my HD2, I am using MS MyPhone to back up everything from bookmarks, pim, important photos and sounds in main memory. I also have my PIM info on Google and I take a copy of pim.vol from the HD2 and store it on a cloud server and backup harddrive. The backup harddrive has a copy of everything else too.
I never have lost anything. I have always had a backup on my handheld as well as on my PC
I can’t remember the last time I lost anything, like all the others I’m fairly well backed up in various places.
In summer I had two hard drives crash on me in one week, as did my brother in law that same week. Between us we lost all our music in one foul swoop, and we lost a whole lot of cartoons and stuff on the media player for the kids. Luckily I had all our photos in another place, which are safely backed up to DVD’s now.
No great tragedy, but very inconvenient!
