HTC not buying Palm

23 April 2010 by Shaun 12 Comments

A source within HTC has told Reuters that HTC will not be buying Palm because “There just weren’t enough synergies to take the deal forward.” This is bad news and leaves Lenovo as the remaining purchaser unless RIM or Nokia step up to the plate. If no-one wants Palm, what then?

Did they check down the back of the sofa? I found a load of synergies in mine.

What about low hanging fruit, did they have enough of that?

Get a PDA247 consortium to buy it. We could make a better job of it than Palm!

Shall we pool our money and buy ‘em?!

I would do but they currently won’t accept my credit card

    I’ve got 35 shares in Palm so there’s a start……who’s with me?

They’re only $5 each…..if we all buy a few….we can take control and bring back the old Palm OS, reintroduce the Treo…hmmmm..perhaps it’s not such a good idea after all.

We have to keep the tradition going and make crap hardware though.

Guys, guys . It’s obvious. Introducing the palm T3 mk2. Revolutionary collasping screen. 1.5mp camera just to make you want to upgrade.

Can I design the power button that stops working properly after a few months?
It’s been a “feature” since the palm pilot.
