QOTD: Big tariffs?

Do you use your mobile tariff wisely or are you on a tariff which offers too much for your needs? Must admit I rarely check mine, but I suspect I am definitely not using it to its full value.

Because I have been with tmobile for a long time, I pay for just what I use.

I rarely use up my allowance of minutes and texts to be honest. I’ve started using my mobile instead of my landline though so that’s improving.

I’m on the £35 a month iphone tariff rater than the £30 one because the difference in minutes is/was 100 on £30 as opposed to 600 on £35. Don’t always come near that but nice to know it’s there if I need it

Well iv been weighing up my contracts and I use the one with the most allowance on more so come august have decide to cancel a plan. I suppose at one time we were all guilty of getting a contract to get tIe next new shiny toy and having more allowances to use than necessary seemed ok then but iv come round to thinking you have to be careful nowadays as towhere you spend your money ,on what on and what you get for it. Times have changed!

I’m on a T-mobile tariff of £5 pm which includes 300 mins of calls and unlimited texts. I don’t use anywhere near that but they say they can’t give me a lower tariff!

I’ve been on AT&T’s lowest level plan for shared minutes since 2005 now, and the only thing I’ve tweaked along the way is adding 200 text messages per month for both myself and my wife, and adding unlimited data when I switched to iPhone. The plan has 550 shared anytime minutes per month and unlimited nights and weekends. AT&T offers “rollover” minutes – wherein any unused minutes from the month go into a minute credit that remains available for a year. Most of the time, we don’t go over the monthly anytime minutes allotment, but every so often we do go over our normal monthly allotment, which are then taken from the rollover. So, we enjoy the benefits of just what the rollover plan was meant to address.

Blimey Gavin! What’s you’re data use though?

@ statto £10 a month for unlimited data ( i use about 8-900mb pm) which gives me seversl hundred texts and minutes. i use up most of my allowance every month. good value and using an hd2. 18 month contract which came with nokia e71 which i kept for a month and then sold. monthly tariff would have been less without e71. used to pay £30 pm .
