Who would you like to see buy Palm? Personally RIM or Nokia would be a good fit for me and would enable the webOS platform to work properly on hardware that is worthy of the software.

Nokia. Ace hardware and great software in one phone!
Not my idea but Kevin Tofel suggested Facebook and the more I think about it the better it sounds. Beef up the intergration in Synergy to Facebook and the release it as the Facebook phone.
Has to be Nokia, their previous attempts at a smartphone OS have been laughable and they don’t seem to have garnered much developer support for Maemo/Meego. A fast, committed move to WebOS would give them the advanced OS they need and WebOS the sales numbers that it needs to encourage developers to support the platform…
I used to be a huge Palm fan but ever since they screwed us by not providing backward compatibility with old programs I honestly couldn’t care less who owns them. It’s not really Palm: just a company that has inherited the name.
I also thought maybe Nokia could do something… but they have been pumping out fairly uninspiring hardware lately as well. Everything seems to be made of cheap plastic and looks and feels cheap. Develop Web OS to be more business oriented stick it in an E series phone with decent hardware and a good screen and you could have something nice.
It’s a shame HTC were not interested (although I understand why). Nokia seem like the best choice but I’m afraid I don’t seem to care that much. Sorry, but my loyalty has gone too!
None of the above! We have too much fragmentation already. Perhaps it would be best if we lost a few OSs
I had read not long ago that Blackberry would be a good contender. They are in need of an OS overhaul to stay in contention.
