A blogger from gumballtech has claimed the world texting record which had only recently been beaten on a Samsung Galaxy S using Swype. He managed to type a set paragraph on an iPhone 4 in under 22 seconds- the previous record was 25.94 seconds. Check out the video below which is almost unreal. Thanks to Trevor.

Sure -and using Palm’s shortcut feature (3 graffiti strokes =46 characters) I could blow this away. The point is that only the 35.5 sec has been ratified by Guinness. Saw a doco on the world’s smallest man and it’s quite an exhaustive process. Was bemused by Melissa (?) comment that she was rusty -something to that effect -as she rarely texted. Texting (Gr8) bares virtually no relationship to Swype which is more a technical skill so her comment was at best ingenuous.
That guy is damm fast. Tried it 8 times. Can only manage 24 seconds.
