QOTD: Value for money?

Do you consider the service your network provider offers to be good value for money? I am on a £30 / month tariff and on the whole am satisfied that it represents good value, particularly because I managed over 3GB of mobile data last month and they never seemed to notice…

Same price as you Shaun and sort of value. Get 1gb of data and 1gb via BT Openzone, 300 min and unlimited texts.

However as I am a BT Broadband customer I get unlimited wifi at BT Fon and BT Openzone hotspots.

I have a few contracts ;-) but the best one is with T-mobile where for £15 I get 3gb of data at the higher speed (have obtained 2mb when tested but not as quick as Vodafone which can be even higher) and 100 minutes of calls. Was £10 per month but data speed was limited to 512kbps for downloads.

I’m on a £30 a month contract which covers everything I need. I still think it’s too expensive though. When I was on PAYG I’d only spend £15 a month max. Sadly I needed the contract to get the phone.

I prefer PrePaid, I move around a bit but settled on virgin with AUD$29 for 1GB of data and $150 call credit..

Strange still in Australia you get MUCH better deals on prepaid than on contract, but they still suck by international standards I think?

Happy-ish. On a £35 contract but because I wanted the iphone4 and needed more mins than bottom tariff.
Mostly it’s unlimited txt and decent data I need. If I wasn’t such and iPhone fanboy ;-) I’d be on an android phone on pre pay

Also £30 per month for my iphone4. I think it is decent value but I never get near my minutes allowance(300) so I’m basically paying for data and the phone hardware. If I used it as a phone more I think I’d feel it was better value.

My Hero is on T-mobile with a £10 pcm contract which includes 3gb of data and unlimited calls to landlines. Combined with my Treo which includes 1gb data, 300 mins of calls and unlimited text messages, also for £10, I never ever get close to using all of my allowance on either phone. Very happy

I’ve got 6000 minutes, 87 tonnes of data and 7 trillion texts…and the carrier pays me £25pm

NOT AT ALL!!! In Spain we pay almost double for mobile use compared to other countries in Europe. There’s nothing free thrown in. We even pay a 0.15 cent connection fee for “free” calls! On my 3G modem I get 5GB a month and pay 60€ for it. Once I have used up my 5GB my speed is reduced. I do need to look into changing my plan soon though!
