What was the last mobile app / game you bought and what did you think of it? Mine was Tiny Wings and it is still getting a daily play- so cute.

Android, PES 2011 – a wonderful implementation of the beautiful game…

If they get the WP7 version to sync changes/progress from Xbox 360 I’ll buy that version too…

    Pimlical for Android.

I bought it but I don’t use it much. Datebook for Palm replaced the standard PIM and was great. Since with Pimlical you seem to need Google calendar on the phone anyway it doesn’t get that much use.

However it supports the Apes and that’s worth something.

Can’t remember exactly when but the last few are

    Screens (iPhone and iPad)
Very nice VNC implementation. A few glitches but generally works well and connects easily.

    Garageband (iPad)
Great. Much fun and I’m no musician.

    Wikipanion Plus for iPad
I had Wikipanion but wanted the extra features. Also great.

Lanesplitter a universal game. Stupidly simple but addictive. And GarageBand

Zite – a personalized magazine for the iPad. You can build a customized magazine from scratch and the content gets tweaked depending on your likes and dislikes (a bit like Pandora, but for the printed word). It has earned a permanent spot on my homescreen, alongside Flipboard, another standout magazine-style app. There’s a video of it in action at Zite.com

I tried Zite but it wasn’t including some of my preferences on websites like PDA-247.

I treat Flipboard and Zite in different ways. Flipboard is more predictable, choosing from a discreet list of sources; Zite throws up content from places I might not have considered or even been aware of. Like them both very much.

Tiny Wings and 360 browser – still getting the hang of tiny wings

MyBackup for Android because I planned to hard reset my Galaxy S and start again since it seemed really slow. It worked well enough when restoring, except that Google Marketplace didn’t recognise any of the apps installed so I didn’t know whether any of them had been updated or not. So I ended up downloading and installing all of my apps again.

I bought the Fancyapint app (from the Fancyapint.com website). Some friends of mine run the site and the app is very useful for finding pubs in and around London.
