Is your smartphone connected to your car and do you use it for entertainment or more serious stuff when driving? My iPhone 4 is used for GPS and transmitting music to my car radio and that’s about it. Do you use yours more inventively?

Just GPS. My car has a mp3 USB slot and can play mp3 CDs so use these methods for music.
All my Smartphones have great A2DP so use that for music at times. Use my Nokia E72 for navigation, works well and has warnings for speed cameras (fixed). Obviously, also use BT for incoming calls only (making calls is damgerous in my view).
Iphone 4 hooks upto the car via Bluetooth. Use it to take calls and to play music from the phone. The car has a USB slot with a memory stick in there permanently but mainly use this for the kids’ music. Not always the music I want to listen to on my way to work
I’ve got CoPilot on the iphone but I can only hear the directions when I’m playing music from the phone. The music fades while the direction is given through the car stereo. To get spoken directions to come out of the iphone I have to turn bluetooth off so then can’t take calls. Not ideal but I can live with it.
Not very inventive I’m afraid. My iPhone can be connected to my radio via an auxiliary plug. Wired unfortunately. I have a bluetooth earpiece for hands free voice. I have a cradle for the phone for GPS.
If I’m on a trip, I’ll pay music or listen to comedy albums.

iPhone 4 hooked up to car audio via Bluetooth; Bluetooth headset to make/receive calls and control music via Voice Control.
I have built-in GPS in my car with a huge 7 inch screen, so no smartphone can comptete.
Slightly off-topic I know but I value the opinions of the folks here.
Has anybody used CoPilot to navigate through France ? I have a UK only Tom Tom device and Copilot on the Iphone. I’ll add the French maps to the Tom Tom if Copilot is unreliable, otherwise the Tom Tom can stay at home and I save some cash !
Thanks in advance
I listen to music using a radio transmitter, use GPS from time to time and charge my phone. Interesting huh?
