10 year’s old and obsessed
My Son is heavily into his photography and has hounded me for weeks to place a link on 247 to his website. So, as it is the weekend, you can view his best photos here. Feel free to comment on his work- all done with a Panasonic Lumix DCM-FS6.

I have added a personal blog post today which you can access by clicking the ‘Personal Blog‘ category on the right-hand column. It is a political one as well and I do keep any personal posts off the front page. However, it seems that they still pop up in the main RSS feed and I am working to selectively remove them going forward.
UPDATE: Hmmm. It ended on the front page anyway. Will fix that today.

It has been a remarkable few days in the UK since the election last Thursday. The news channels have obsessively covered every waking moment and many of us have spent every waking moment obsessing over the tiniest of details.
Those who support the Conservative party have had to endure the good, the uncomfortable and finally a compromise. Those who support the Labour party have mostly had a feeling of resignation for the past few days and the prospect of an alliance with the Liberal Democrats was as uncomfortable as it gets in UK politics. An alliance of the losers was never going to work, just like the alliance we have now is unlikely to.
I tend to have a very centre ground view on most things and have for a long time supported the Labour party, and still do. However, not for one moment do I believe that David Cameron should not be Prime Minister- his party got the most votes and rightly deserves to be there. For people with views like me, the watered down Conservative party in power is almost a source of comfort. The Liberal Democrats are further to the left than Labour so it is an unlikely alliance, but one which may water down the extreme tendencies on both sides.
It just might work and we may have a stable government in the UK, but in a period where even a dominant party has a hard time I really cannot see a time when problems won’t occur. I predict another election by the end of the year. And then the shambles we have been through for the past week will start all over again…
